For more than 35 years, Totally Tots Inc. has been a part of the South Philadelphia community, caring for generations of children and building lasting relationships with local families. Throughout the years, one thing has remained at the heart of Totally Tots: the belief that every child deserves to feel safe, loved, supported, and valued.

Now under new ownership and management, Totally Tots is beginning an exciting new chapter. While many positive changes and improvements are underway, we remain committed to preserving the family-oriented foundation that has made Totally Tots a trusted part of the neighborhood for more than three decades. Our goal is not to change what families have loved about Totally Tots, but to build upon it—bringing together the warmth of a close-knit community daycare with an even stronger focus on education, development, and meaningful childhood experiences.

We understand that choosing childcare is one of the most important decisions a family makes. We also understand that quality childcare must be accessible to the families who need it.

Totally Tots provides affordable childcare at $250 per week and proudly accepts childcare subsidy. We serve children from 3 months through 5 years old, providing a nurturing environment where children can grow with us through some of the most important developmental years of their lives.

We believe families should not have to choose between affordability and a caring, enriching early childhood experience. Our goal is to provide children with meaningful opportunities to learn, explore, play, and grow while keeping quality childcare within reach for families in our community.
More Than Childcare

At Totally Tots, we believe that learning begins long before kindergarten. Every conversation, story, song, friendship, outdoor adventure, and hands-on experience is an opportunity for a child to learn something new.

Under our new management, which brings years of professional educational experience, we are continuing to strengthen our curriculum and daily programming. Our approach supports the whole child, including social-emotional development, communication and language, early literacy, mathematical thinking, creativity, problem-solving, fine and gross motor development, independence, and confidence.

Our children learn through a combination of purposeful play, teacher-guided activities, hands-on exploration, music and movement, art, sensory experiences, early literacy and math activities, and opportunities to discover the world around them.
Learning Beyond
the Classroom
We want our children to experience the world beyond the walls of their classroom.

Children have opportunities for daily outdoor play, allowing them to move their bodies, explore their surroundings, build friendships, and develop important gross motor skills. We also take weekly trips to our local library, helping children develop an early love of books, reading, storytelling, and their community.
​
These experiences are about more than simply getting outside. They help children understand that learning can happen everywhere—in the classroom, at the library, on a neighborhood walk, on the playground, and through everyday interactions with the people and places around them.
